When you add a new employee user account to your company account, you will be charged a prorated amount based on your billing cycle. We will process the payment using the payment method on file. Once the prorated amount has been charged, the monthly or yearly payments will update to reflect the new number of employee seats for your company.

Yearly billing cycle

Example billing scenario for a yearly subscription. Voyager, Inc. subscribed on 1st of January to the yearly plan for 5 employees, making their subscription payment $180. On 1st of March, Voyager Inc. adds 2 new employees automatically charged an additional $60 for the remainder of the yearly billing cycle for the new employees. The following yearly subscription payment charge will update to $240.

Monthly billing cycle

Example billing scenario for a monthly subscription. Voyager, Inc. subscribed on 1st of January to the monthly plan for 5 employees, making their first subscription payment $17.5. On 1st of March, Voyager Inc. adds 1 new employee, and they are automatically charged an additional $3.50 for the month for the new employee. The monthly subscription payment charge will update to $21 each month moving forward.

What are user seats?

Seat is a user account slot. Every active employee user account requires a seat to use kiwiHR. When you create a new user account and there are no seats available, we will add a new seat and process a payment charge based on billing plan cycle.
