How to create tasks in journeys

1. Choose the task type

There are 3 types of tasks that can be added to a step:

Task - This is a regular type of task, you can write out the task instructions by yourself

File upload - where the assignee can be requested to upload content to a specific directory

Profile data - where the assignee can be requested to fill in data on an employees profile

2. Name task and provide instructions

We recommend using a concise description of the task in the name field and using the instructions field to go more into detail as needed.

3. Assign employee(s) to task

You can assign employees to a task by name, roles or teams.

Depending on the selected type, you can request an additional action or provide additional instructions:

For a regular Task

You can request the assignee to attach a file (if needed)

For a file upload

You can provide a specific upload destination.

For a Profile data update task

You can choose the profile data fields that you want to be filled/updated
