When you update a reusable step, all associated journey templates will automatically reflect these changes, but it won’t affect any active journeys.
Example:
An employee’s first day at work is usually similar across various positions within a company.
You can create reusable steps for this first day and add them to different onboarding templates. Whenever you update these steps, all templates that include them will automatically show the changes — no need to adjust each one individually.
Create a reusable step
In your sidebar, click on Journeys, then select Library. Click on the Reusable steps tab and then click New step.
1. Choose a journey type
Specify the type of journey that is associated with your reusable step.
2. Give it a name
Provide a name and a brief description of the reusable step.
3. Set the start and due date (optional)
You can set the start and due dates for a reusable step based on events like the employee start date, the end of the probationary period, or the end of employment.
4. Add tasks
Next, add all the tasks the employee must complete as part of this step.
5. Save step
